We said goodbye to 2011 and 'Hello' to 2012! So much happened in 2011, found out we were having a baby, my sister got married, Phil attended schooling for EMT for a few months, then we decided(very quickly) that we would be moving to North Dakota, Phil left 2 weeks later, I was a "single", working mother for 3 months, finished up at my part-time job, all while packing up our house, moved in July, started getting a feel of our little town, went to Mt. Rushmore for the first time, had a girls night in Bismarck (no kids!), got the feeling of what it is like trying to plan something, we had song services and church with a visiting minister a few times, planning meals and such(that is all new to all of the girls out here, figuring out how many people to cook for, it's fun though!), and before we knew it, we had ourselves another little baby to snuggle, my Mom came out for a nice visit, Christmas was different but relaxing, and all of a sudden, BAM! The year is done and another has started!
I'm interested to see what's in store for us this year.
Everyone has been warning us about the winters out here since we moved out here. You wanna know what? It snowed maybe once and it was nothing to bat our eyes at. It didnt stay for too long. We have felt some pretty cold winds, gusts up to 40-50mph, but last week we had one day of 54 degrees and another 61degree day. 61 degrees!!! In Decdember? I'm not complaining though! If you know me, I HATE winter. It is just way too long for me, the bitter cold, wet, brown snow on the roads and every where you walk, icy roads, wet pants, etc. This week it looks like 3 days in the high 50's :) I am fine with that!
